You may or may not be right about Lifelock, but you can do almost

anything for free, if you have the skill/knowledge and/or time to gain that skill/knowledge.

Some people prefer buying things that are really easy DIY stuff, with just a little effort - it's what makes entrepreneurs and the free market.
